There are so many times in our lives wherein we are helped by our friends, family members, loved ones and even strangers. Whether it is for a job or a random favour, help at work or in our personal lives, all of us look for support at different stages of our lives. While some need support all the time, there are others who can manage themselves without needing too much help.
But again, do we thank those who help us? Do we express our gratitude towards them? Do we believe in helping others in their times of need?
These questions and more are very relevant considering the fact that these days more and more people have started to think all about themselves. At every step in life, they feel that its all about their dreams, their goals, their happiness and so on and so forth. But then, humans are social beings. And life is also about helping those who have helped us as well as thinking about those in need.
Consider a scenario when you were down due to issues both in your professional and personal life. Your friend helped you overcome that tough phase without even your asking for help. While you did thank him, he only expected to see you happy which was the key driver for him to help you in the way he did.
Now, if he or any other friends of yours are down and out, wouldn’t it be your duty to support them in any which way possible? While they may not ask for it, this is what friends are for.
We must always learn to express gratitude for whatever support and happiness we have got in our lives. As someone has truly said, if we help others, there is always a strong chance of others helping us in our times of need.
