“His movies have been doing really well off late. Looks like he has finally reached the zenith of his career.”

He had come to the city of dreams with just a little luggage and a lot of dreams in hand. Everyone advised him to go back since without a godfather he would just struggle and go nowhere. Struggle he did. It took him more than 10 years of running around, doing odd shows, theater and what not to finally bag his first big project.

And then, there was no looking back as his career got the momentum it was looking for.

“It seems as though we are all becoming xenophobic to the world around us. All we seem to be thinking of is ourselves.”

Ron’s movement against racism had begun out of his own experience when he was assaulted and harassed just because he looked and spoke a different English accent than the rest.

He was astonished to face such treatment in a city which he could call home as his parents had arrived there more than 40 years ago.

And so, he immediately made it his mission to play a small but important part in removing xenophobia out of the city.

“I love this city in particular due to its various walking trails and nature reserves.”

Both Ryan and Sonya had both been deputed to the city by their organization at almost the same time. They loved their daily walks amidst the tranquillity provided by these reserves far away from the pollution and the maddening crowd.

“All you think about is the value of the property you will get if any of the brothers separate. Aren’t you ashamed of yourself?”

Alok along with his 3 brothers had stayed in the locality for more than 50 years. The brothers were respected in the community and were known to be kind and helpful to all and sundry. Seeing them happy surely didn’t please a lot of people who tried unsuccessfully to separate them many a time.

Back home, while the wives often quarrelled on needless things, the brothers ensured that they always stood united in the face of any adversity.

“It’s difficult to even imagine the gamut of emotions she must be going through.”

Linda was on the way to meet her parents when her plane plunged towards the ocean at a rate of knots. She distinctly remembered the screams and cries for help ringing out and about the cabin only to black out when things unravelled.

While she was thankful to be alive, she was reminded of the screams and cries of the others every night. She always wondered what God had in mind for her for keeping her alive amidst such a horrific tragedy.

His knees couldn’t take the shooting pain anymore. The doctors had exclaimed that he risked aggravating his condition if he returned to the track.

But his determination and hard-work in keeping himself fit and ensuring that he went out on a high were enough to take him to the podium for perhaps one last time.
