This pic is from the unprecedented rainy months last winter in Kuwait. It rained like there was no tomorrow.
While many rain records were broken, a lot of us who are used to 50 degree summers surely weren’t complaining as cool and cloudy days greeted us day in and day out. These were moments to cherish.

Despite having a caring family and achieving a lot in her career, Sarah seemed perennially unhappy. Her eye condition had deteriorated so much so that it had started affecting her daily life.
The ophthalmologist suggested that an urgent surgery was the only option followed by getting the right kind of specs. And the rest as they say is history.

Anita had high myopia and needed the right kind of glasses to achieve her dream of becoming a pilot.
During childhood, she had suffered a lot from dryness of the eyes. This affected her mentally and psychologically during her school and university days. But as the years passed by, she was all the more determined.

These are some of the questions one gets from friends and family members for any visit to a hospital. A lot many get nervous hearing or even thinking about doctors or hospitals for that matter. Whether its the equipment or the smell, the environment or seeing other patients, we all tend to get nervous to a certain degree.

I recently did undergo a minor surgery. But this post is not about the specifics of the surgery in particular. But instead, its about the after effects of staying for a night in a hospital as well as the anaesthesia which got me thinking much more than I ever have in years.

What’s special about the National Parks in Iceland?
As mentioned earlier, the island is beautiful to witness, and the national parks are a sight to behold. Until 2008, Iceland was home to four stunning national parks. Later on two of them were combined to form a much bigger national park turning the number of such parks to 3. Several tours allow one to enjoy these utterly picturesque and natural reserves of Iceland.
1. Snaefellsjokull National Park
Covering an area of 66 square miles, this National Park is located on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula in western Iceland. The center of attraction here is the 700,000-year-old stratovolcano, which is covered with ice. The tourists can visit the volcano’s summit during summer along with several archaeological ruins and modern-day fishing villages nearby. Another unique thing about this park is perhaps that it is the only one with a coastline, making it the sole such park that is inhabited by several bird species.
