Incoming cyclone

Incoming cyclone

As the cyclone barrelled towards the city, the clouds started to show their true colours. The summer had already begun in full force with the heat giving the feeling of great balls of fire.

But the cyclone bought a sea change in the weather turning the sky from a few white clouds to almost black with dark grey clouds.

With a lot happening in the upper atmosphere, the city beneath looked so beautiful amidst the lovely breeze and the droplets falling on the leaves.

Though it did cause damage with broken trees and other infrastructure including flying objects like bottles.

Nifty Nemesis

Nifty Nemesis

He had accepted the fact that his nemesis was quite nifty and been able to prove that his work was junk enough to show that it was finally the time for a change at the top.

Grey turns to blue

Grey turns to blue

Dusseldorf

It looks like a dull

and dreary day with the sun

lost amidst the clouds

Grey turns to blue

Dusseldorf

But then, grey turns to

blue and alleviates the

suffering of all

From almost being

underwater, the colours

have turned beautiful

It almost feels as

though the sunshine has devoured

the rain easily

Grey turns to blue

55 word fiction: Artist

Artist

Photo by Juanjo Menta on Pexels.com

He had been an artist all his life. His abstract paintings made him a household name. While he courted controversy with many of his works in the last few years, he wasn’t one to take it lying down.

Despite the uncertainty and being anxious about the draconian laws, he went ahead and organized his exhibition.

Somewhere in Jordan

Before landing in Jordan, I hadn’t researched too much. And therefore, I must say it was such a pleasant surprise to see all the greenery around.

Legacy

Legacy

As he walked through the alley, he thought of the

legacy of his missing father who had

disappeared and despite requests for patience,

it was insinuated that he had moved over

to the other side without caring for all

his family and friends who stood by his side.

100 word fiction: Journey of goods

100 word fiction: Journey of goods

PHOTO PROMPT – © Jennifer Pendergast

The train travelled through a variety of exotic locales during the numerous trips it took for taking different goods from one place to another.

“We should wait until the storm passes by.”

“I think it’s perfectly fine as I am sure that there wouldn’t be any water logging on the tracks.”

“You seem happy under your umbrella. But I doubt the train agrees with you.”

Ronald and Martin had driven the freight train across the length and breadth of the country for years. While Martin was used to many escapades in his life, for Ronald it was always safety first.
