Nifty Nemesis

Nifty Nemesis

He had accepted the fact that his nemesis was quite nifty and been able to prove that his work was junk enough to show that it was finally the time for a change at the top.

Behemoth

Behemoth

While he did seem like a beast,

a behemoth, he

was nothing but genial

much to her pleasure.

Being a bookworm,

she had her private space but

she had allowed him.

Ashamed

Ashamed

Dominic bowed his head to hide his face. He felt ashamed of steps he took despite attempts to proclaim new beginnings.

When asked to save, he decided to spend. While others called him shallow due to his love for money, he considered it a deep paradox that having so much he couldn’t spend.

Eventually, it was too late as his temerity gave way to his shady dealings which marked his end.

Wrangle

Wrangle

With him in denial, the wrangle continued. With the others adept at handling everything, he didn’t get anything in the end let alone a space to live. There was no luminescence in life.

Bubble of uncertainty

Bubble of uncertainty

Living in a bubble of uncertainty during the full lockdown due to the pandemic, his idea of utopia was to promise himself that he would pursue his long forgotten passion to paint whenever the lockdown was lifted as he didn’t have all what was required.

Picking up the pieces

Picking up the pieces

While his staff were busy building the annex, his boss was busy in asking him very pertinent questions. Despite his attempts at trying to answer them to the best of his ability, she wasn’t satisfied and felt that the expenditure was over the top.

She compared this to a room in a building which was left empty when it was deemed to be excess to ones requirements. It was decided to break everything down and then pick up the pieces amongst the bricks which lay there. While his team was frustrated at all the effort they wasted, they couldn’t do much except lament.

Grey turns to blue

Grey turns to blue

Dusseldorf

It looks like a dull

and dreary day with the sun

lost amidst the clouds

Grey turns to blue

Dusseldorf

But then, grey turns to

blue and alleviates the

suffering of all

From almost being

underwater, the colours

have turned beautiful

It almost feels as

though the sunshine has devoured

the rain easily

Grey turns to blue

Tranquility

Tranquility

Tranquility is

the new luxury though one

shouldn’t be lonely too

Tranquility is

all I need for keeping my

dignity always

Tranquility is

a choice but one needs to be

chary of strangers

Tranquility is

bliss when one can even hear

the howl of the wind

The walk

The walk

The group which was slowly walking towards the building had synchronized themselves by now. It was a peaceful walk without any malice whatsoever where they just wanted to make their point heard rather than pelt anything around. But in such situations to ensure everything goes smoothly, Master Crime Fighter was always around.

He knew that his presence was enough to make others shiver and do things the right way.

The walk

The authorities had just moved to the new building and were just setting up the furniture when they saw the group and were left wondering on the way they would respond.

55 word fiction: Deep Cleaning

Deep Cleaning

As the world went into lockdown, he finally decided to deep clean his house. He didn’t want visiting his house to be an obnoxious experience. While he always bristled with energy at the thought of any activity, it was always a mystery as to why he was so lazy when it came to household chores.
