Photography: Now and Then

A lot has changed in the post-pandemic world. Travel meant going on international trips while now it is about sightseeing locally.

Tranquility in Kuwait

What started to worsen sometime in spring around the world has just sadly continued on as we near winter.

“There’s a sunrise and a sunset every single day, and they’re absolutely free. Don’t miss so many of them.”

Alone at the beach

Alone at the beach

Looking towards the horizon

with the sun setting in the background,

and hearing the sound of the waves hitting the shore

with him lying lazily on the beach,

he knew that he was a beach bum at heart

and could spend days alone there.

Window

Window

As I look outside,

I see the beautiful

colours of sunset

As I look outside,

I see the empty roads caused

by the pandemic

As I look outside,

I don’t see known faces of

friends and family

As I look outside,

I keep wondering on when

will life be normal

55 word fiction: Excursion

55 word fiction: Excursion

As the Cessna began to glide over the idyllic coastal town, she couldn’t believe her eyes. This excursion was the best surprise she could have ever asked for. Everything looked so small from up above. While they took off when the sun was setting, the moon was already up by the time they came back.

Kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope

As he planned the path ahead, he looked up being a fan of watching the kaleidoscope of colours leading to a split sunset.

100 word fiction: Sunset

“It’s been long since we saw the sunset by the beach. I miss walking with you hand-in-hand and hearing the waves hitting the shore.” Monica had taken the simple pleasures of life for granted.

“Honey, even I miss it too. We can only hope that things can get better soon.”

Like so many others, they were tired of having to stay home for so long. They longed for getting fresh air. They longed to see those sunsets together again. Monica longed to wear her gossamer-like dress and walk by the beach.

They knew that there were no shortcuts to happiness.

Photography: Sunset during Fall

When I was in the US in October of last year, I loved every bit of seeing fall colours wherever I could. But I never knew that the colours up above in the skies would be equally beautiful too.

These ones are during one of the walks I had taken after a spell of rain in Glastonbury, Connecticut.
