“You need to have the courage to follow your dreams and climb the steps to your goal. You can crib all day long about what you don’t have. Or instead, you can pursue your dream and live life on your own terms. It’s your choice.”
In a country without a history of fencing, Malti had carved out a niche for herself by winning numerous tournaments. And now, she had to move out of India for a few years to train and realize her dream of representing the country.
She knew that it was time to take the leap of faith.

We all have seen tough days at work. They happen every now and then. Sometimes it is the presentation you worked very hard on that gets rejected or learning that you are not getting the promotion that was promised. Tough days simply can’t be avoided. While it is not always in our hands to stop a day from turning bad at work, it is totally in our control to sail through the day without letting it hamper our daily work and productivity. Though it is difficult to keep our motivation levels high on tough days, putting a little bit of effort to stay positive can really do wonders for you even when everything seems to be going against you.
Here are a few ways in which you can convince yourself to work through tough days even if you have run out of motivation:
“These guys seem to play the game ‘without their brains’.” A former player himself, he had made a name in the world of commentary over the years with his insightful analysis and forthright views.
But little did he know that his sarcastic comment would rekindle the fire in their belly and they would rise from the ashes like a phoenix.
There was a time when they were labelled as mercenaries who ran behind money rather than having pride in representing their country.
But they came back from being labelled as a bunch of no-hopers to being world beaters by using all the negative talk as a motivational tool in an us against the world scenario.

I think of my blog as a growing plant. For growing to the next level, a plant needs water, minerals and nutrients. In the same way, a blog needs dedication, commitment and time to get more views, comments and likes.
I now tag Kala.
I want to take my blog to the next level with Blogchatter
“Oh God! Look at him. His face is so full of pimples. Doesn’t he look awful?”
“Seeing the number of pimples he has, which girl would even want to come close to him?”
“Looks like he isn’t really bothered about his personality. If he has a problem with pimples, why doesn’t he care to treat it?”
I am sure there would be many of us who would have heard or made some of the above statements at least a couple of times in our lives. For each of us, the way we look shapes our lives in every sphere. Whether its getting a girlfriend or a boyfriend, getting a job or moving anywhere in the professional space, all of us want to look good all the time.
And looking good starts from the top. While a person may not have great facial features to begin with, everyone expects basic stuff like neatly combed hair, a clean shaven look for guys, a non – oily face and the likes. Obviously a lot many girls don’t like the guys to be clean shaven. But let’s cover that in a different post.
What drives you to work hard? What drives you to succeed in life? What is the one thing without which you wouldn’t be able to complete any task? The simple answer is – MOTIVATION. Motivation is the key to open any lock which acts as an obstacle for you to succeed. Without motivation, a person is like fish without water. Whether its completing a simple task or achieving something in life, motivation has a role to play all the time.
But the big question always remains – “How does one motivate himself / herself?”. There are three kinds of people – Those who are self motivated, those who need constant reminding by their family and peers and those who don’t care at all. The set of people who are self motivated are always in the race to stay at the top. They keep a track of their peers, friends, so called enemies and the likes. If they know that their peers are getting way ahead of them, they are always ready to go one up. The rat race is always on and they are an important part of it. This is more than enough to keep them on their toes.
