Left at the altar

Left at the altar

We loved each other

to the moon and back but you

left me at the altar

We promised to be

by each other’s side but you

left me at the altar

We had some lovely

times together but you

left me at the altar

What started as joy

turned into depression as you

left me at the altar

As the pandemic went on,

her emotions oscillated between hope and depression.

As the pandemic went on,

she was aghast in particular at people’s reluctance to follow key health procedures.

As the pandemic went on,

she felt her life going into a downward spiral.

The sound of the earth shaking was still vivid in his memory. He only had seconds to react and take his family along with himself out to safety. The 6.5 magnitude temblor at 2:57am had jolted the entire city out from it’s slumber.

The continuous aftershocks in the next few days ensured that almost everyone was forced to sleep under the open sky.

On returning back after a couple of weeks, he burst into tears seeing his once beautiful house.

“I spent my entire life’s earning to build this abode only for it to be destroyed by an act of God!”

“Those who get angry are the ones who love you the most.” She had always heard this advice from her loved ones. But there was only so much that she could bear.

The marks on her body and soul were a true reflection of the torture and pain he had inflicted upon her. From failed business deals to fights between friends; from knowing about her numerous guy friends to her frequent refusal for sex, she ended up bearing the brunt of his anger.

What started off as a match made in heaven truly ended as a match made in hell.

Success or Happiness – What comes first?

Happiness is the key to success..

Happiness is the key to success..

I have always believed that we are responsible for our own feelings. If we are sad, it’s because more often than not, we ourselves tend to think about the unhappy and depressing things in life rather than appreciating the happy moments.

If we are happy and satisfied with our lives, there are more chances for us to succeed and achieve our goals and dreams. A happy mind and soul is a perfect ingredient for success.

Success should be considered as a result of happiness rather than the other way round since the barometer for success changes from time to time.

“Maam, you can’t go inside the house. It would be very dangerous for your life.” Though she tried as much as she could, the officers had a tight grip on her hand and all she could do was stand and watch the horrifying scene.

The Johnson’s had just gone over to their friends place nearby for a simple dinner after having put their children – Kate and Hanna to sleep.

It had been just 20 minutes since they had left when they heard a plane crashing into their neighbourhood setting many houses including theirs on fire.

Five Sentence Fiction: When my smartphone went missing..

iPhoneSource: http://thenextweb.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/2014/09/iPhone.jpg

My phone had always been my life which I took along wherever I went. Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, Instagram & games of all kinds – I used it for all of this and more.

But since the day I misplaced my phone, my life hasn’t been the same. Neither do I eat properly nor do I get sound sleep at night like before.

Seeing me in depression and despair all day long, you would seriously wonder as if life has been sucked out of my soul.
