It had been a long and dull winter with a lot many snowstorms day in and day out. He was a perspicacious individual who always liked to be engaged in something or the other. For someone as professionally inclined as him, he had to find unorthodox ways to keep himself occupied.

And so at the first instance of summer, he took out his cycle. While he initially thought of the empty roads, he knew that cycling by the sea hearing the waves hit the shore felt blissful.

But as the rains came suddenly, he ran for cover under the gate.

Pandemic woes

Pandemic woes

The pandemic had a serious impact on their business so much so that they were left dumbfounded on what had actually hit them. They were forced to shut shop and the onus was on them to start afresh.

Pandemic woes

What better place to restart than the comforts of their homes in the countryside far away from the maddening crowds. And so they set off on the highway. It was important that they took a break to clear their heads and then planned their next move.

Pandemic woes

The greenery and the fresh air all around provided the necessary peace and calm to think.

Shoe tree

Shoe tree

The public made sure to lionize those that did

matter and their negatives were thought of

as extraneous and nipped in the bud so

that they could be glorified by hanging their

shoes in a line together making up a

shoe tree and this was done at many places

The couple had finally decided to leave the city after dilly-dallying for months. While going to a smaller city meant lesser pay, they knew that the benefits outweighed the negatives.

Over the years, they had accumulated many things which had worn out and needed to be thrown away. But now the movers and packers weren’t doing a great job leaving the stuff lying on the road rather than in the bin.

100 word fiction: Time to leave..

They were looking forward to a life far away from the din of city life amidst the forests and next to the lake with the zephyr hitting their faces.

Prize

While the temptation was there, he respected the rules of the competition to not wander around the beach though once he knew that he wasn’t about to win the coveted prize and things became inconsequential, he proceeded to lay down on the beach as this way he could drain out the stress from his life.

Green Gate

Green Gate

The gate to their former house had been locked for

years considering they had been away and

with no one staying, it was nothing but an

onerous task to maintain it on a day

Legacy

Legacy

As he walked through the alley, he thought of the

legacy of his missing father who had

disappeared and despite requests for patience,

it was insinuated that he had moved over

to the other side without caring for all

his family and friends who stood by his side.

Shadow

Shadow

While walking through

the bushes, I came across an

ancient musty cave

There were symbols which

seemed like they had a hidden

message somewhere

I was trying to make
