The aeroplane window is the perfect spot to see the world go by.

There’s so much you can see from the clouds to the lights of a magical city; from an aeroplane far away if you are lucky to even the sea.

It’s the perfect place on a plane if you want to go on a journey like no other.

Hide and Seek

Hide and Seek

The sun and the clouds

played hide and seek as the rains

began increasing.

Flying to safety

Flying to safety

The clouds were looking ominous as the

mature one among them was leading the

way though they almost got stuck in the rain.

Desert rain

Desert rain

Being born as a farmer in a desert,

he knew what disappointment was like,

Everytime the clouds showed up,

the sun would win the battle,

But this time, as the clouds moved in and the breeze picked up,

he began praying more than ever before,

The sky hadn’t been this dark in a while,

and then began the thunder and lightening,

As the first drops of rain fell on the earth below,

he felt a certain sense of relief,

Within minutes, the rain started to come down in torrents,

something he had never ever seen in the desert in years.

Dawn

Dawn

The birds sing a song,

The roosters crow along,

The cool breeze blows day long,

As the light begins to prolong,

The colours in the sky belong,

And the clouds turn to shapes like oblong,

While the environment plays along,

The stay-at-home orders continue to prolong.

While blue skies are beautiful in their own right, it’s always fun to see the clouds doing their own thing in the skies up above.

Here are some of the pictures which I have taken from my balcony here in Kuwait in the past few weeks.

PHOTO PROMPT © Roger Bultot

“This city looks so beautiful from our balcony, doesn’t it? Look at the lovely cloud formations. Living at such a height definitely has it’s perks.”

Ronald had arrived in the city more than 2 years ago. But only now did he finally begin to admire the city he was living in. He had been so caught up in the rat race to achieve something that he never bothered to appreciate whatever life had to offer.

It was all about earning as much as you could in the shortest possible time. But now he had got another chance to cherish life’s gifts.

Written for the photo prompt and you can read the other entries here.
