The day she was waiting for..

The day she was waiting for..

She was waiting for

this day but now that it was

here, she got nervous

This wedding was what

she had always wanted and

her parents agreed

Though it went well,

she became teary eyed leaving home

and had to avoid smudging her makeup

Left at the altar

Left at the altar

We loved each other

to the moon and back but you

left me at the altar

We promised to be

by each other’s side but you

left me at the altar

We had some lovely

times together but you

left me at the altar

What started as joy

turned into depression as you

left me at the altar

Curiosity

Curiosity

As they lay watching

the stars, they felt pure bliss not

having to stress out

But in the dead of

night, a shape-shifter had

other plans up its sleeve

While they got curious,

it went berserk posing a danger

to anything in its path

Victory vs Defeat

Victory vs Defeat

I

Defeat is part and

parcel of life and shouldn’t be

an embarrassment

II

Victory is all

that matters and defeat is

surely an insult

Note: A palinode is an ode or song that retracts or recants a view or sentiment to what the poet wrote in a previous poem.

He just left

He just left

As I look back, I

keep wondering whether he

really loved me

We started as friends

in school, chit-chatting away

for hours on end

He always made it

a point to do what he could

to see others smile

He always went out

of his way to impress me

or so I observed

Journey of a seed to a plant

Journey of a seed to a plant

The journey of a

seed starts from soaking it in

water for sometime

The soaked seed needs to
