If possible,
we would emerge out of this pandemic by switching it off,
If possible,
we would fume less and smile more as the pandemic taught us that life is short,
Maybe this is just an aberration
for learning to cope with a crisis.

So much to learn from these crazy days, indeed. If only to embrace each one, and live in love.

True that! Hopefully we all can take such learnings out of this crisis.

“Maybe this is just an aberration
for learning to cope with a crisis.”
These lines hit so hard and they are true. Very thought-provoking poem, and it is beautifully written as well.
transitionofthoughts
Thanks Lucy :). Hopefully we all find that switch soon enough. Fingers crossed.

I think coping is what we can do.
transitionofthoughts
Yeah true that. I think a crisis like this is teaching us a lot many things of the way different people react to a difficult situation.
merrildsmith
We are definitely learning about ourselves, our nations, and coping.
transitionofthoughts
Yes so true.
Gillena Cox
Ah yes some mighty pertinent lessons learned
Happy Monday

Hopefully we all put these lessons to good use in the future when we have to encounter any crisis not just a pandemic.

Like me, you’re attempting to find a nugget of reason in the pandemic, a lesson learned, an art mastered. If only.
transitionofthoughts
Yeah I guess especially since this has gone on like forever, I guess finding reason of it all helps to get some perspective even if just a little :).

Pandemic? There’s a pandemic?!? Whaaaat???
(Sorry. Just trying to smile.)
transitionofthoughts
🙂 I guess after all this while it just feels surreal as this is what we would have always seen in movies and shows. But alas! It’s all happening in real time.

One foot in front of the other. Better not to think about the scope of it too much.
transitionofthoughts
I guess there are times when despite not wanting to think too much, my mind just wanders along. Though for what its worth, I guess like many others I have slowly but surely gotten used to a life with masks and social distancing. Hopefully though there is a light at the end of this long dark tunnel. Fingers crossed!

I hear you!

There are so many lessons to be learned from this crisis. Number one: be thankful for every day of life we have!
transitionofthoughts
Oh yes that’s so important and I guess the pandemic has reinforced that point even more. Moreover, the pandemic has also made us realize how important the simple things in life are – walking out in the open, meeting and hugging friends and family, having food at a restaurant and more.

i pray and i hope. <3 indeed the lessons are worth learning, though hard.
transitionofthoughts
I am hopeful that 2021 would bring better news for all of us and humanity in general. Fingers crossed!

Where in the world is that darned off switch …. been looking for it many months now.
transitionofthoughts
Ahh only if we all had access to that switch. Sigh!
Vinitha
