Renner had been selected as the president of the school committee due to his all round performances in academics and sports. It was a unanimous decision. But little did they realize that he never knew the way to conduct himself when given a lot of responsibility. The school committee became his personal fiefdom so to speak as he did what he desired.

  1. I’ve known a few people just like him. Some can handle power and others can’t. Too bad everyone is now suffering under his “fiefdom.”

      Oh yes, a lot of people end up changing when too much power is bestowed upon them.

  3. This reminds me of a situation I witnessed when I was teaching. In that case, the mistake could have been avoided if teachers had listened to students. Sadly, something happened with a teacher who was given responsibility and used it to their own advantage. It’s a quirk of human nature.

      Oh yes, that happens so often when people misuse the responsibility given to them to their own advantage.

  4. Leadership requires more than just the ability to get good grades. In fact, that is not even a requirement. (K)

      True that. I think they realized the hard way that he was definitely not a good choice as far as being a leader was concerned.

  5. Being the best in education may not necessarily mean a good leader.. wrong choice as it looks like… Would make things toxic..

      Oh definitely it was a bad choice in whichever way one looked at it.
