Transition of Thoughts

Weaving thoughts into words

Hikes

Hikes

These are desperate times for economies around the world. Hikes of all kinds whether its in utility rates, ticket rates, hotel rates, prices in retail and more maybe required to prevent a number of organizations and countries going bust. But on the other hand, hikes will discourage people even further as there are millions who have lost jobs.

The most important thing for almost anyone is to ensure that they are able to put food on the table. All the other luxuries may have taken a backseat for the foreseeable future. Life has become all the more intense and it is a far cry from the fantabulous days before the pandemic when money hunters didn’t need to do much at all as everything seemed hunky dory. The struggle for survival is on as the pandemic has given people a mirror on their actions from the past.

From spring to summer,

the pandemic left millions

struggling for it all

  1. I have not seen so many hikes yet… and working from home I spend much less… but I assume that sooner or later there will be a price to pay.

True maybe not so much as yet. But the way the pandemic is going, I think hikes may be the order of the day. And in this ensuing saga, it will just eventually be a fight to survive.

  2. Very stirring write. Stay Safe

Hope is what we all have. I am sure we will and moreover there’s so much this crisis has taught us in more ways than one. Hope we do remember that in the days / months / years to come.

  6. These are challenging times and times to learn from the challenges.

    • transitionofthoughts

That’s the most important thing I keep telling everyone. Even times like these would eventually teach us a thing or two.

  9. Some parts of the world are affected severely because of these price changes. When and how this is going to get resolved who knows!

    • transitionofthoughts

I am sure it will resolve. But yes, the uncertainty on when and how things would be fine is quite difficult for anyone to handle.

  10. The pandemic has affected everyone and I do hope this ends soon… strangely my contribution for this prompt also depicts an “effect” of the pandemic!

    • transitionofthoughts

We can all pray and hope that things can get better sooner rather than later..
