She had turned wheatish
as she loved to cycle all
the time in the sun
Her cat went along
by her side wherever she
took her bicycle
But this time she ended
up in a place where pets were
being refused entry
And so she decided
to go someplace else where
her cat could enter
Her cat had slowly
become an important part
of their family

Cats are so independent and unique; yours sounds wonderful; nice use of the prompt word.

Great poem, and wonderful photo. We just moved to an Over 55 community, and EVERYONE has a dog. It’s like living in a kennel.

Haha! I can completely understand. I guess over time pets definitely become part of the family more than one realizes it. Thanks for stopping by :).

Have you ever heard the sarcastic comment “It’s like trying to herd cats!”? Cats are so independent and sometimes haughty! LOVE this photo! 🙂 And also like the way you’ve used the word wheat here.

Ahh yeah have heard that phrase being used about quite often :D. Thanks for stopping by :). Cat’s sure are definitely independent :D.

Yes, I always wish there are more pet friendly places.
Cycling with the cat sounds fun. I wonder if my Shitzu who looks like a cat would enjoy it too. 😉

You know when I went to the US last year, I was actually honestly surprised seeing the number of pet friendly places around. It was a sign of how important they consider pets unlike many other countries around the world. By the way I am sure your Shitzu would have fun on the cycling journey :).
