I love this and the imagery of traveling. You make it sound like such an experience! I also enjoy how the last few stanzas provide a connection to the current pandemic–how to be lucky to even travel at all is a blessing, indeed. I enjoyed this piece greatly, and it is such a wonderful stream of consciousness writing. Beautiful.

Thanks :). I would say that many of us didn’t think that taking a flight or a bus or a train for that matter was such a big deal. It was just about buying a ticket and taking the form of transportation. We never had to worry about social distancing or anything for that matter.
Moreover, while we all love travelling in our own way, am sure not everyone would have imagined that for a long time they wouldn’t be able to travel again. While am thankful that I get to travel, maybe I didn’t have that much of gratitude that I could do something like this when many couldn’t at all in the first place.
I am sure for so many of us this pandemic has shown us a mirror to what we did right or wrong and what could be done to improve ourselves.

I am sure a day will come soon enough where we will travel again. But I hope we can appreciate the fact that travelling is a privilege rather than a right we all get and appreciate the fact that we are lucky to be travelling at all :).
