Transition of Thoughts

Weaving thoughts into words

For some, winter is all about the dark and dreary months when there isn’t a lot of activity.

But for others, winter is all about the joy and the celebrations of Christmas.

While winter months in a lot many places around the world can be dull and boring with the constant dark clouds and snow, it is also a good time for some winter sports, to watch the Aurora lights and make merry during Christmas.

For someone who hasn’t grown up in a region which has snow (we do get temperatures of around -1 or -2 occasionally during winters), I have been lucky to experience the joy of winter in places like Moscow, Antalya and Belgrade among others.

  1. I think somehow we agree Aseem, winter is nice to visit but I wouldn’t want to live somewhere where it is long or extreme!

    • transitionofthoughts

Hehe I can completely understand especially considering the fact that I am living in the opposite extreme with 50 degree heat for about half the year :D.

  2. Lovely, Aseem – I think we all should try both!

  3. You’re lucky to have experienced winter in these places. They are lovely captures.

Beautiful shots!! Where I live in the central USA we are far enough north to have snow occasionally but far enough south to where the cold spells don’t last that long.

Thanks :). Ahh so maybe then you have the best of both worlds :D.

  5. Excellent. Where is that stunning banner photo?

    • transitionofthoughts

Oh actually that’s a default one provided by WordPress :P. But that just reminded me to change it an image of Antalya which I wanted to from a while :).

  6. Love your making merry during Christmas pic

  7. Love the shots and the trees. I would love to stay at a place where it snows this much. Must be fun to sit by the fire with a book and a hot cuppa 🙂 Thanks for joining, Aseem. Hope to see you back on the 13th!

  8. So beautiful:) all the pictures are lovely.
