PHOTO PROMPT @ A. Noni Mouse
“Oh god! Not again.”
She was tired seeing the number of empty vessels each day. Her children weren’t keen on calling anyone from outside to clean the house during the pandemic. And so, all the duties fell on her shoulders.
Though she could still do a hell lot for her age, her back and legs had started to give way. Her children were more than culpable for her condition. They didn’t even bother to provide any succor saying they were too busy.
She looked at the frondescence outside and just kept wondering when would she be free from all this.
Written for the photo prompt and you can read the other entries here.

Thanks Paula 🙂

frondescence? I’m guessing that was a prompt
transitionofthoughts
Haha, yes that was :D.

Maybe the children could learn how to clean the dishes!
transitionofthoughts
Oh they definitely could. But said they never bothered to empathize with what their mother had to go through.
Bill
Good story that builds to frustration. Nicely told.

Thanks Bill 🙂

Such a sad story for her. Her end days full of servitude and no appreciation. It’s like she is invisible. Well-told and I’m sure many can relate to it.

Yeah it’s sad that such stories are a reality in households. Wish they could understand what she was going through. They could have at least supported her.

I could feel the mother’s frustration. And I learnt a new word 🙂

Thanks for stopping by :). Actually I myself learnt this word yesterday :D.
