Transition of Thoughts

Weaving thoughts into words

Photography: Old & New

Everything in this world be it architecture, fashion, cityscapes and more all have their old and new aspects. It’s always fascinating to see how both the old and new go hand in hand with each other.

From the lovely resorts on Dead Sea to the old city of Petra, Jordan has some of the most beautiful sights you could ever see.

Marbella which is part of the Spanish Riviera has turned into one of the most happening destinations in Southern Europe. There are flashy cars and yachts lining up the coast along with parties galore. Add to that the beautiful old town with it’s colourful buildings and you have the perfect mix of old and new.

The new resort and the old city of Petra are fascinating, indeed. Beautifully captured!

  2. Petra, that place fascinates

    • transitionofthoughts

Oh yes it’s a really fascinating place definitely :). Have you been there?

      • Alas, no. Just what I’ve read about the place the culture that built it.

        • transitionofthoughts

Ahh if you get a chance you should go one day. The history, the culture and even the topography are quite interesting :).

          • While I woiuld like to, I’m not being negative when I say that’s highly to happen. That’s just being realistic

I can completely understand your point of view. I am sure there will be a time when things will be better and we all may look back at this as a time when we learnt so much in such a short time.

          • If nothing else, we’re learning the behaviour of a new virus, and the mistakes governments can make in their attempts to deal with it.

          • transitionofthoughts

I guess many governments are learning on the way on what works and what doesn’t. And there are some who sadly still don’t seem to care.

  3. I love looking at new cities with histories that date back to the old times. Good one!

  4. Love looking at your photos.

    Regards, Teresa

  5. Great contrasts, great photos. Marbella, Benidorm, Torremolinos. I motorcycled up the coast in 1970. It was busy then. (Any place to get a good English breakfast?) 🙂

    • transitionofthoughts

Wow! That must have been fantastic 🙂 I would actually love to do a road trip on the coast of Spain. Though am not sure if it would be that good today unlike in 1970 😀

  6. Well chosen!
