Photography: Amsterdam

I understand where you are coming from. My understanding of macro photography is that it is extreme close-up photography, usually of small subjects. The 1:1 ratio refers to the amount of the main subject as it fills the camera’s sensor. The subject on the sensor should be at least life size or larger. That is usually not possible without a macro lens that allows you to get in close or a large zoom lens. For the purpose of this challenge, I do not stick to the true definition of macro photography or the 1:1 ratio since not everyone has a macro lens. Close up photography is just fine.
