They loved going to their cabin almost every weekend to have a nice time with the family.

It was the perfect getaway from the busy city life. But as time went by, they started to see an outline of garbage around the area whenever they approached their cabin.

It felt that as though people had started to dump whatever they could from electronics to papers without a care in the world. Despite numerous pleas, there had only been a limp effort to clean the mess.

One could only imagine how the animals around felt seeing the ruckus created by humanity.

  1. Now that’s the interesting question: can animals make moral judgements?

    • transitionofthoughts

Maybe they can. Just that they may not be able to communicate and maybe irritated that they can’t tell us how they feel in our language.

  2. I often wonder how many animals have suffered when I see our countryside filled with rubbish.

  3. In ancient times Humans lived close to the animals, deemed the beasts to be their brothers, committed fratricide only when needed for their own survival, and always with gift to propitiate the spirit of the killed. No separation. Humans and beasts, all the same. Oh how life has changed.

Oh yes those were the days when humans depended on animals like friends and brothers. Sadly today things have changed so dramatically :(.

  4. You’ve raised a very interesting point. What do they make of it?

    Here’s mine!

  5. I wonder if they really think along these lines.

  6. I can only imagine, but I’ve got a pretty good idea what they might be thinking about us and our waste!

  7. SOME people are really lazy and selfish – they only care about themselves so they will dump anything wherever they want. Makes me mad! Your story was spot on! Nice!

  8. The non-human animals are used to it by now 🙁
