Five Sentence Fiction: Joint

He had lived for years in a joint family environment. Whether it was the meals or the electricity and water bills; the emotions or even the gossip floating around, he had seen everything being shared.

But times had changed as newer members started getting added to the family. The irreconcilable differences over the last few months had given way to massive arguments.

He had never imagined that it would be possible, but the day had finally come when he was being thrown out of his own house.

    I just wish it should never happen to anyone. Family should always stay together. They should be connected from within..

      While there are definitely good aspects of it, I can totally understand Gattina what you mean as everyone has their own thoughts and feelings which may intervene in everyone’s collective happiness.

  5. True story for today’s world !! But that’s the reality, people cannot stay together and are harming each other for their own necessities.

    Its so sad that some one is thrown out of the house owing to family feud. Wish it never happens to anyone.

      Yeah it definitely is! And especially when its your own family who have been with you through thick and thin.

  10. Sad ending… I don’t know why this happens to families… How can they fall apart when they have so many memories that can bind them together!!

  11. This is a sad story. Big families are great, but sometimes a family can get too big, and it starts feeling less like a family and more like a crowd of strangers.

      Oh yes, sometimes in such cases it becomes more like a pain rather than a delight to stay with one another.
