100 word fiction: Help

“Nick, push it up. Push it way up”

“I am trying Ben. But this damn thing isn’t responding.”

The cockpit was a cacophony of alarms and it was extremely difficult for the pilots to hear each other as the twin engine jet spiraled out of control and headed straight for the neighborhood of Rodwood.

Luckily, the pilots found a road to land the plane. But it still clipped a few light poles and cars finally coming to rest near the mayor’s home. Almost immediately, the air was filled with cries for help with passengers staggering out of the burning wreckage.

      Thanks Neha. Photo prompts and micro fiction is definitely fun as it makes you going beyond your comfort zone to imagine and bring so much life in the narrative of a story.

      I guess its more scary than anything else. But I guess there are so many of us for whom this is the worst nightmare we don’t want to imagine coming true.

  16. I must say, when i first saw the image which i guess is the prompt, I did not even think for a moment it could also turn up to be a short tale about a plane crash. It is indeed very unique take on the prompt!
