Singapore is a tourist haven with a variety of hotspots like the Sentosa Island, Singapore Flyer, Universal Studios, the shopping districts of Orchard Road, Marina Bay Sands and more.
The common thread among all these is the fact that they are man – made attractions. These attractions are the ones which are advertised the most.
But then for the nature lovers, there is also another side which includes places like Macritchie Reservoir and Pulau Ubin. Now you can add the Southern Ridges walking trail as well to this. This trail is a 9km walking path which includes some of the greenest places in the country including parks like the Mount Faber Park, the Telok Blangah Hill Park and the Kent Ridge Park.
At 36m, Henderson Waves is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore
The Southern Ridges includes various walking trails such as the Marang Trail, the Faber Trail, Henderson Waves, Hilltop Walk, Forest Walk, Alexandra Arch, Flora Walk & Hort Park and the Canopy Walk. Each of these walking trails help you lose yourself amidst nature and animals like squirrels, birds, doves etc. These trails are perfect to help you relax your mind and rejuvenate your senses.
I am participating in the A To Z Challenge for the second time this year and I am penning travelogues.
