Lycabettus Hill is a 300m tall hillock from the top of which one can get some fantastic birds eye views of Athens.

You can reach the top on foot, through the Lycabettus funicular or by a car. Since we visited the hill while on the way to the airport to catch our flight back, our guide took us to the top in the cab in order to save us some time.

The Chapel of St George at the top

There’s a chapel, an amphitheater and a restaurant at the peak. To top it all, the weather at just about 15 degrees or so was brilliant.

I am participating in the A To Z Challenge for the second time this year and I am penning travelogues.
