Transition of Thoughts

Weaving thoughts into words

Thankful to be in the blogging world

Thankful for being a part of the blogging world

Bloggers have so much to be thankful for. From having the platform to express themselves on any and every topic under the sun to attaining celebrity status for their writing exploits, there’s a lot happening in the blogging world these days.

Power of the written word

Bloggers can freely express their thoughts into words on any topic of their choice. Their blog is their personal space where they can easily voice their opinions without having to worry about word limits or being politically and diplomatically correct (sadly this is changing a lot these days).

Social causes

With an increasingly volatile world, bloggers have slowly but surely become the voice of various social campaigns like the social prejudices and abuse against women, the myths about AIDS, the effects of global warming and more. A lot many people have started to take bloggers quite seriously.

Getting published

Before becoming a blogger, I hadn’t really dreamt of getting published. But then, blogging came along and life was never the same again. Getting published in a couple of short story anthologies and newspaper articles was one among the numerous highs which blogging has given me.

Friends in the Blogging World

As I had written in another post, blogging has slowly evolved into a collaborative activity. It has given me a chance to meet, interact and learn from bloggers across various walks of life. And many of them have turned into good friends as well.

Bloggers have become a great catch for brands. Blog posts both positive and negative can make or break a brand. And therefore each brand is always on the lookout for positivity for all their new initiatives. This has also ensured that blogging can be looked at as a reasonable full time career option which wasn’t the case a few years ago.

Blogging Accolades

One generally doesn’t start something just to get accolades. Similarly, I just began blogging to express myself on subjects I was quite opinionated about. But then accolades such as these came along and being a blogger seemed even more rewarding and exciting.

Blogging is as much about reading as it is about writing. I have come across a number of bloggers who write fantastic posts on a variety of topics. Reading surely helps in learning a lot from fellow bloggers who are stars in their own right.

Blogging provides all these reasons and more to make me feel thankful. My blogging journey is just 7.5 years old and I am still to reach the teenage years and there surely are miles and miles to go before I sleep.

100 word fiction: The keys..

  1. Blogging is like life. You can do it alone or as you said make it a collaborative activity. One of the best ways to say thank you for something is being happy doing it.
You are happy being a blogger and you love writinf.Happy New year to you and thank you so much for writing with us for #ThankfulThursdays

  2. I am grateful for the opportunity to blog, as well. I have had many articles printed in the local newspaper. There are word limits and I write about the subjects that I am given. I like that. It is interesting. But it is also interesting to use a blog as another way of sharing stories and of doing creative nonfiction and, sometimes, fiction.

  3. wow Aseem I loved the accolades, it’s tempting me to make a little page for myself (with much lesser content though!). As always wonderful to be on your blog. Thanks for linking up with #ThankfulThursdays
