Kovalam – An epitome of tranquility as the first lights of the day brighten the sky
Kovalam Beach is considered one of the famous beaches in India. It is located about 15kms from the center of Trivandrum.
The numerous restaurants and coffee shops dotting the beach landscape
While the beach is quite commercialized in terms of restaurants, boat operators and the likes, it was fairly tranquil and peaceful during my visit. It was also quite clean than most other beaches in India.
Considering it was winter, I made it a point to reach the beach at about 6am in order to see the different hues of the sky and the sunrise.

As the sun came out, the different restaurants and coffee shops by the beach slowly started opening up their shutters to begin another long day at work.

All in all, this is a lovely place for a morning walk. Nothing better than introspection in a calm and peaceful setting with only the sound of the waves hitting the shore.
