Being born and brought up in Oman, I have had the pleasure of being driven on smoothest of highways.

What amazes me is the fact that despite its rocky terrain which would generally increase the cost and the time required to build these roads, Oman has led the way in building a fantastic network of carriageways.

So if you have been dreaming of that perfect road trip vacation across the length and breadth of a country, then go for it. Oman is the place to be. You will love driving on those beautiful roads and watching the vast countryside and tracks of emptiness go past you.

Note: This experience is part of the 5 day trip organized for three bloggers by Ministry of Tourism, Oman & Indiblogger from 25th October to 30th October 2014.
