Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) is one of the prime localities in Dubai having a variety of residential blocks, hotels and restaurants. The ‘JBR Walk’ which runs across the stretch of the Jumeirah Beach has shopping and eating hotspots on one side and tourists sun – bathing on the other.
And as is the case with almost anything in Dubai, there was a lot of construction activity ongoing at the place when I went in January earlier this year.

Jumeirah Beach

A plethora of restaurants at JBR

Skyscrapers dot the JBR Skyline

All the buildings almost look the same, don’t they?
The Dubai Marina has some of the tallest buildings on the planet including the Princess Tower, Infinity Tower, Ocean Heights, Marina Pinnacle, Sulafa Tower among others. These skyscrapers and more surround a stretch of water for about 3 km.
Along with being a nice place to walk and relax, the Marina also has a plethora of restaurants at every nook and corner.

We all seem non – existent in the midst of these massive towers

The calm waters of the Persian Gulf surround the Dubai Marina

As I look on..

A nice place to walk and relax

The skyscrapers rise high up and above the Dubai skyline
If you are looking for some time to relax, walk or have a nice meal, both these places are a must see.
Tip:
Both JBR and Dubai Marina are accessible by tram.
If you are looking to connect to the Dubai Metro, go to the Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT) which is the next tram station from JBR or Dubai Marina.

Looks like a concrete jungle!
But great clicks.

Yeah too many buildings around. But then Dubai does offer gardens and parks as well. So yeah it’s like extremes of both sides :).
Good to know you liked the clicks :). Thanks for stopping by :D.

Sounds cool. Dubai is quite fascinating as it bears the mark of two extremes:)

Oh it does have two extremes – there are parks and places like Miracle Garden on one side and then on another side you have places like Dubai Marina which resemble Manhattan :D.

Did you take the abra ride or the dhow cruise? At the creek I was in awe of the amalgamation of modern skyscrapers and the traditional Arabic land!
aseemrastogi2
I didn’t get a chance to go to the dhow cruise this time. Do they have them on the Dubai Marina as well? I have taken a dhow cruise on the Creek many years ago when we used to visit Dubai during my growing up years in Muscat :).

Nice information Dear, as Dubai is one of the most beautiful places in our world and also its tallest buildings on the planet attracts the visitors very much. My friends were going to enjoy holidays in that place & they took service from Tour Dubai 1 Floating Restaurant LLC. They enjoyed the tour a lot with them.
