Weaving thoughts into words

For the love of writing..

For the love of writing..

For the love of writing..

As someone has said, there is nothing greater than the power of the written word. For me, writing is that activity which makes my world go round. It connects me to life and happiness in every possible way. Writers have the power to dream and create a new world with new characters. This combined with the ability of writers to weave varied emotions is what helps me connect myself with writing.

While I began writing as a way to pass my time, it has evolved into much more than that over the years. During holidays, some love shopping while others love partying all night, some love watching movies while others like me love to write. We writers find inspiration in anything and everything around us. Be it observing an individual or an event or even the traffic on the roads, we love to weave stories on whatever we see.

If we don’t write a little every week, we feel that there’s something missing in our lives. It’s a feeling of uneasiness which prevents us from completing any other task in a proper manner.

Writing has helped me a lot in exploring my inner self. When I started, my blog posts were opinions on anything and everything under the sun. But over the years, I have dabbled into an eclectic pot pourri of micro fiction, short stories, book reviews, movie reviews, interviews and more.

For me, writing is a way to relax and de-stress from all what is going around us. And the below quote is something what all writers including yours truly feel about writing in general.

‘To write means more than putting pretty words on a page; The act of writing is to share a part of your soul with the world’ – Anonymous

Guiding forces of our lives..

  1. you said it well… “some love shopping while others love partying all night, some love watching movies while others like me love to write.” indeed, there is something therapeutic, positive, cathartic about writing that other hobbies do not possess. write on, write on =)
