“Ma. Look around this place. Everything seems to have turned white with the amount of snowfall we had last night.”

While this winter had been unusually warm, the snowfall had dumped more than a few feet of snow throughout the sleepy town of Budsworth.

As the sun rose the next morning, Rosaline and her mother stepped out for a walk to the nearby reserve. The trees which were usually lush green seemed totally lifeless without their leaves. Moreover, with the overgrowth of wild bushes and mushrooms, it seemed as though the area hadn’t been tended to since a long time.

  3. Shilpa Garg

  4. Winter has that effect on all of us. It was the first day of spring yesterday and it snowed all day long – totally gloomy. Btw, are they dead? I mean ‘not tended to for a long time’ gives a subtle impression that they are.

    • aseemrastogi2

Yeah its like life has been sucked out of them due to the fact that its chillingly cold.
