Friday Fictioneers: Distinctive Showpieces

“Why can’t you ever keep your things in place dad? This room is a mess.”

Since when I could remember, my dad had this love for tools and objects of all kinds. From bottles to stones to even sea shells, he liked collecting items and creating distinctive showpieces.

While he started it off as a hobby, as more and more people saw his work, they began requesting him to make something for them. And so it turned into a full time job which kept him occupied all day long so much so that we didn’t see him for days.

  1. Dear Aseem,

At least Dad turned his hobby into a money making endeavor.

      Dear Rochelle,

True that. If one is truly able to convert his or her passion into a money making endeavour, it’s an awesome feeling :).
