“Those people in the dark with long hair, scary eyes and deformed faces will stare at you if you go towards the attic.”

She had been warned by her mother to avoid going there since the time she was born. Though Anne had heard ghost stories of how they roamed about in darkness, she seemed to be at ease even when there was not a ray of light around.

She stealthily walked towards the loft and opened the door. The voices calling out her name began to grow louder and finally she was sucked away into darkness and the door slammed shut with her mother yelling in the background.
