Weaving thoughts into words

And I complete 6 years of blogging today. It’s been one interesting journey of learning to write, meeting new bloggers, making new friends, winning a few contests, making a name for myself in the world of blogging but most importantly having the pleasure of being able to convert my thoughts into words.

As I got deeper into the facets of blogging, I started to read a lot more. I began my blog as an online diary where I could pour my feelings about anything and everything affecting me directly or indirectly. But, over the years it has an evolved into a one stop shop containing stories, reviews, opinions, interviews and a lot more.

Stepping into my 7th year of blogging, I thank all of you for the constant feedback, encouragement and critique over all these years. Without its readers,  any blog is nothing but a barren land.

  1. Happy blogoversary!

  2. I wrote for a long time, then I realized I really had nothing left to say about the topic that started it in the first place. Like you, my blog was just a diary. I kept looking around for blogs, started commenting and I remember when the first comment came in from a blogger I had found and commented on. I started back in 2005, I took on a new blog in 2006 which I maintained until 2010. I tried several times to start up a new blog so I have bits and pieces of thoughts all over the place. I am resolved to start new and also put the posts from other blogs that I like and combine them together. I thank Microblog Mondays for that. Just getting me back on track even if it was slow and small. Congratulations on your years of blogging! I would really like to see it come back into favor with people. I learned a lot, I met many wonderful people, and I read a lot of interesting ideas and thoughts.

Many a time, we tend to get a so called writers block wondering what to write next, where to get the next idea from and so on and so forth. That’s where all these challenges and prompts like Wordless Wednesday, Microblog Mondays, , Yeah Write challenges etc. help to keep us going and write for the love of writing :).

It’s awesome the way you always kept blogging and ensuring that your thoughts have a place :). So many just lose touch with blogging over a period of time due to being busy or the likes.

And yeah, blogging is such an amazing journey of meeting new people, learning a lot from the way others write and also reading various interesting thoughts :).

  3. Wow! 6 years! Congratulations! wishing you many more awesome years. Though I would have known you for around a year and a half, I must say that your blog is a wonderful one and every time I come here, I get something nice to read. keep up the good work!

  8. 6 years of blogging! :O
Here I am, having completed 6 months of blogging, already tired of not getting page views.
But, I just realized that it requires a lot of persistence, dedication and hardwork. And that’s what I’m gonna do from today on! 🙂

Congrats, and may this seventh year be the highlight of your life (#HarryPotterAndTheDeathlyHallows 😛 )

Thanks Mithila :). Yeah it does require perseverance, dedication, commitment and all that ;). But more importantly, I guess I have ingrained it in my myself that I need to blog religiously if not everyday but couple of times a week :D. It’s more like an activity as important as eating food or sleeping :D.

I am sure you will go a long way with blogging :). You have started when you are so young. And over the years, the best part is that you get to learn so much from different bloggers. Different writing styles, posts, poems, stories blah blah and what not :). An amazing journey!
