Quote Challenge – Day 1 of 3

Quotes are pieces of advice or sayings by individuals which can inspire or affect the way we live our lives. And that’s why a lot of us follow different types of quotes quite religiously.

Below are the details of the three day quote challenge –

  • Post one of your favorite quotes(different quote on each day) on three consecutive days. The quote can be from your favorite book, author, or your own
  • Nominate 3 bloggers to challenge them
  • Thank the blogger, who nominated you

Thanks to Parul who has nominated me for this challenge. And here is my first favourite quote:

Live & Let Live

Live & Let Live

Source: http://www.sevenquotes.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/live.jpg

We all must have the right to live our lives in the way we want to. And similarly, we should also let others live life on their own terms. Whether its choosing our careers or our life partners, we should all have the right to make our decisions.

This doesn’t mean that parents and elders shouldn’t teach their children the right values. But instead, it refers to those parents or governmental authorities who try to bring in their own rules and regulations and start controlling lives of others according to what they find as right or wrong instead of letting individuals make their own independent decisions.

Moreover, even parents can control their children only to a certain extent. Beyond that, it’s all upto the values the children have learnt and based on the same, the make decisions for the good and the bad.

The three bloggers I would like to nominate – Roshan, Shwetabh, Lata

  1. That’s a good one and I believe in that as well. It’s so true right? Thanks for taking up the challenge Aseem 🙂

Totally Parul :). All of us have the right to live life on our own terms without others questioning our every move and controlling our lives. Thanks for the nomination :).

  2. Lata Sunil

Thanks Aseem for nominating me. I have already done it once but would love to do it again. I loved your quote and I abide by the same principle in life. Its simple but all-encompassing.

Thanks Lata :). Looking forward to you taking up the challenge again :D.

  3. Forum

I hate it when ppl interfere too much or try to control a person’s activities. Usually birds follow this rule effectively. They feed their fledgling to a certain extent. Once they develop wings they let them explore the world by themselves.

Forum, that’s quite an interesting analogy :). Sadly, not everyone thinks that way. There should always be a proper balance between guiding people on what to do and what not to do and letting them do things their own way :).
