His love for music..

His love for music..

PHOTO PROMPT ©David Stewart

“Music has been my passion since the time I can remember. And becoming a violinist and playing at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam is my dream.”

Roy’s parents couldn’t fathom the reason their son wanted to choose music as a career. According to them, neither did it pay well nor would it fulfill their numerous dreams of a stable life. Moreover, they had always heard that the life of a musician was filled with struggle.

But the more they discouraged him, the keener he became. He joined the local orchestra society and began practicing day in and day out.

  4. Let’s hear it for not stomping on his dream. Parents want their children secure, and a career in the arts of any kind, makes them uneasy. True artists lead from the heart.

True Susannah. It takes a lot of courage to follow one’s dreams. And moreover, parents also need to believe that their children are capable of succeeding in their field of choice :).

  5. I hope he makes it. Sometimes you just have to follow your dreams. 🙂
